I have been completely neglecting my blog, and its actually quite a shame because a lot of brillant things have been happening lately. Most recently being me and the rest of my pledge class becoming alumnae. Which is just the beginning of all the stuff that is going to be happening the next few weeks, while everyone else graduates and leaves me.
This weekend we followed a very tight schedule. Friday we attended my aunt's birthday party, and then had to wake up at sunrise to drive to Columbia for Laura's graduation. We of course spent our drive reading excerpts from time period confused "I thee bed," a book filled with interesting outfits and neverending elipsces... Laura's graduation was nice, it was like stepping into "Mona Lisa's Smile." There were quite an interesting array of people attending, all the way from Laura's brother Gavin dressed in Gucci and Kenneth Cole, to the tranny, which I think we found out was named Natalie, wearing some sort of frock that wouldn't be acceptable on an actual woman. Then we proceeded to eat way too much and then took a walk downtown, where we ran into some more characters, there was the guy in an entirely red suit and bowler hat and a guy in what could have only been an intel guy suit. We then went to dinner at a really cute Italian restuarant, where Laura's dad introduced us to the game that would carry us through the night. The game consisted of identifying what or who someone looked like in an attempt to use that to remember there name. Needless to say that most of the people we used to play the game we never found out their actual name. To name a few:
Peter Boyle(*hand motion*)
Brian McKenzie ( he better follow through with that blender)
Tara Reid
Schmigal/Lance Armstrong guy
Newsie boy
Fred (from Scooby Doo)
and his Date (who we never really named but must be mentioned)
Captain Dan ( we never figured out if he had legs)
We also entertained ourselves by watching Mr. Heathcock flirt with girls by showing them his light up pen. After returning from "The Berg" we attempted a few things, like building a fort, playing soccer in the quad, and waking up a priest, before we all crashed. Overall, a pretty good weekend. There will be pictures to come, but it is a production to get the large pictures in my computer.
